An Introduction To Emergency Echocardiography

A basic introduction to performing echocardiography in the emergency department.

This North American presentation starts with a basic introduction to probe placement and orientation.  Interpretation of the resultant views and the identification of relevant anatomical structures  is then discussed.

The video goes on to present case studies of several common conditions encountered in the emergency department. These include pericardial tamponade, the assessment of LV function and pulmonary embolism.  A nice basic introduction without too much depth.
