University of Minnesota Atlas of Human Cardiac Anatomy

Great site with multiple orginal flash video presentations and intracardiac video images. This site contains a number of introductory echocardiography tutorials which provide a good introduction to both the physics and differant imaging modalities specific to echocardiography. There is also a good introdution to the topic of valvular anatomy and it's relevance to trans-thoracic echocardiography images.

EchoBasics

Multi-lingual site with some very nice examples of common echocardiographic pathologies in video formats. TTE and TOE/TEE cases. Very well done indeed!

This site created by Phillips is an excellent resource providing a number of video case examples and online learning modules.

TheCardiology EchoOnline

This site has a number of high quality echocardiographic case studies and a couple of useful tutorials in transthoracic echo technique. Nicely laid out case studies and high quality videos.

E-chocardiography Journal

This site is based at the University of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey, USA. The site provides a large range of links to images, case studies and journal articles relevant to echocardiography. Some video images also. Well worth a look!

CardioVillage

Registration is required but is certainly worthwhile. This award winning site provides a number of detailed echocardiography tutorials accompanied by video cases in QuickTime format.

Handheld Courses

This website provides access to a number of recent review articles focused on advances in transthoracic echocardiography. There are also links to accreditation and critical care echocardography courses that are run by the website owners.

Atlas of Perioperative Echocardiography

Extensive database of videos and still images mostly focused on trans-oesophageal technique.

Echo-Web

This North-American site provides training courses in echocardiography and also has an number of free online learning modules and a large online echo-image bank.

British Society of Echocardiography (BSE)

The British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) is the leading British association offering professional accreditation in echocardiography. The website itself is difficult to navigate but does contain a small free-to-all educational area with distance learning modules available to download. There is also some information on available training courses.

European Association of Echocardiography (EAE)

The European Association of Echocardiography website provides european accreditation and a clinical case portal containing images, videos and case vinettes. The free educational area of the website also provides links to power-point presentations available for download. There is also information available on echocardiography courses available europe-wide.

Echocardiology

Great site for basic tutorials on cardiac pathology and its echocardiographic characteristics. Sadly tainted by lots of irritating advertisements.

e-echocardiography

A resource for transoesophageal echocardiography, this site provides a number of open-access learning areas however most content is accessible through subscription.

Canadian Society Of Echocardiography

This site has a small number of online case studies.

Echobyweb

Italian site written in both English and Italian. Many links to other European echocardiography resources. Small TOE and TTE normal heart atlases and a few examples of basic pathology.
